*Meningitis*
You will have seen that there has been an outbreak locally of Meningitis B
The MenB vaccination was introduced in the UK in 2015 and given to babies, so anyone born before 2015 will not of had it unless they paid privately.
MenACWY is given to teenagers (yr 9) in school alongside the tetanus.
There is not currently a vaccination program for older children to receive MenB and so is not available at the surgery. It is currently only available from private clinics.
