DR J LENNOX

MB.BS. DRCOG. MRCGP. DCCH. Qualified 1991 London Hospital

Dr Lennox trained in London and Edinburgh, and has been a full time GP in Bucklebury since 1998. He has been involved with commissioning over the last few years and was joint chairperson in the early stages of development when the CCG became a pathfinder. Dr Lennox is the CCG lead for planned care with responsibility locally for community nursing and West Berkshire Community Hospital. He has a particular interest in promoting and developing through commissioning ‘shared decision making’.

DR C BARNETT

MBBS 1998, BSc, MRCPCH 2001, MRCGP 2005, DFSRH 2012

Dr Barnett graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1998, during her studies she undertook an elective in Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa which involved working in a small rural hospital in the South African bush. At medical school she also gained an intercollegiate BSc in molecular science. Dr Barnett trained in paediatrics at Kings College London and gained membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2001. Dr Barnett joined the practice in June 2015.

DR T WYLIE

MBCHB MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Wylie graduated from the University of Dundee School of Medicine in 2011. She completed her foundation training at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon gaining experience in general medicine, general surgery and paediatrics. Dr Wylie completed her general practice training in 2016 and joined the Bucklebury Practice as a salaried GP in September 2016.

DR C HARDWICK

MB ChB BSc Physiology, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH

Dr Hardwick qualified as a doctor in 1989. She completed her general practice training in 1996 and has been working at Chapel Row Surgery for over 10 years. She is very experienced with women’s health and is one of the GPs in the practice who fits coils/IUDs and contraceptive implants.

DR J ALMOND

MBBS, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP

Dr Almond qualified in 1992 from The London Hospital Medical College. After several hospital jobs including ENT, general medicine, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology and one year in psychiatry she qualified as a GP in 1998. Dr Almond worked as a freelance GP and salaried GP in South Wales.She then worked as a GP in Bracknell for eight years and during this time gained certificate in diabetes in 2014 and MRCGP in 2016. She has worked at Chapel Row Surgery since August 2015.

DR N SODHI

DRCOG 2005, MRCGP 2004, DFFP 2002, MBBS 1996

Dr Sodhi is an experienced GP, having worked previously as a partner in a local surgery for nearly 20 years. She has an interest in all aspects of general medicine including children’s health care, women’s health, menopause, chronic disease management, and is particularly interested in mental health and health coaching as she believes self empowerment is key to positive physical and mental health. She is a medical educator, having taught medical students and GP trainees throuout her career.

DR E FIELD

(MBCHB BSC (HON) MRCGP DRCOG PGdip)

Dr Field graduated from Birmingham university and has worked as a GP within Berkshire since 2012. She joined Chapel Row in 2024 as a salaried GP. Dr Field is interested in all areas of general practice, including fitness and womens health. In particular she has an interest in diabetes.

DR V HOMFRAY

MBBS 2011, BSc, MSc, MRCGP 2018, DFSRH 2014.

Dr Homfray trained at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London, also gaining an intercalated BSc in human genetics. After completing her foundation training in London she completed a masters degree in HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, working in sexual health clinics before specialising in General Practice. She is passionate about women’s health with a special interest in menopause, but enjoys the variety of general practice. Dr Homfray joined Chapel Row in 2025.

Nurses

Our experienced team of nurses can deal with a range of chronic diseases and health concerns. Where relevant they have undertaken extra training to gain qualifications in the management of chronic diseases, contraception and travel. General practice nurse duties include: adult and child immunisations, wound care, ECGs, cervical smears, lifestyle advice and blood pressure monitoring.

Our health visitor team are based at West Berkshire Community Hospital and can contacted via phone on 0300 303 3944 or via email at Bks-tr.dutyHVwestberks@nhs.net. Child health surveillance is carried out at the appropriate stages with the health visitor and the child’s doctor.
